Pope Paul VI authorized special ministers of Communion to share the Body and Blood of Christ with their fellow worshipers in the assembly and with those confined to their homes, so that no one "be deprived of this sacramental help and consolation."
The ministry complements and extends the ministry of the clergy; it is a particular way of exercising your baptismal priesthood. You are among your fellow worshipers as one who serves; you cannot lose sight of your oneness with them, nor of you oneness with the presiding priest as he serves the assembly in its worship. Anyone interested in becoming an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist should contact Connie Bigelow.

The primary role of the altar server is to assist the priest in the celebration of the liturgy during Mass. This is done through specific actions and by setting an example to the congregation by active participation in the liturgy (hymns, responses, etc.), by looking alert and sitting or standing at the appropriate times
Servers carry the cross, hold the book for the priest celebrant when he is not at the altar, carry the incense and censer, present the bread, wine, and water to the priest during the preparation of the gifts or assist him when he receives the gifts from the people, wash the hands of the priest, assist the priest celebrant and deacon as necessary.
Anyone in the 4th grade or older is eligible to be an Altar Server. Signup and training is held each year at the beginning of the CCD Year (Early September).
