When you buy a gift card, you get that full value when you spend it at the sponsoring retailer. Why? As we all know companies look for ways to contribute to the communities in which they do business. Most retailers, especially national and regional chains find it difficult to support all of the organizations that are important to their customers. For this reason, they elect to sell the gift cards at a discount and allow the groups which sell them to keep the difference between the discounted price and face value. |
